Chief Wade Williams
Chief Williams, 39, has been a member of the Madisonville Police Dept. for 14 years. Williams worked his way through all ranks before earning his position as Chief.
Chief Williams earned a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Oakland City University and a Master’s of Public Administration with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from Murray State University. He is a 2007 Graduate of University of Louisville Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officer Course and the 265th session of The FBI’s National Academy in Quantico, Va .
Chief Williams served with the U.S. Army Rangers on active duty before moving to the Army Reserves for 12 1/2 years and resigned with the rank of Captain. He spent a 14 month tour in Iraq where he worked jointly with the U.S. Department of State and the Army as a civil affairs officer with the task of building a framework for governmental legitimacy and democracy.
Chief Williams serves as a board member of the Life Christian Center in Madisonville and is supported at home by his wife April and two children Trevor and Lauren.
