The Madisonville Police Department is honored to announce a very significant achievement.
The Madisonville Police Emergency Response Team (SWAT) competed in the Kentucky Tactical Officers Associations annual competition from August 19 through August 21, 2012. During this intense three day competition, ERT/SWAT teams from law enforcement agencies across the state completed hostage rescue, warrant service, critical thinking and physical fitness courses. These events tested shooting skills, teamwork, tactics and fitness.
At the conclusion of these rigorous events, the Madisonville Police Department was awarded and ranked 3rd in the statewide competition.
The Madisonville Police Department’s Ptl. Alan Stokes was awarded with his third consecutive KY Governor’s DUI award in 2012. The award was for his outstanding efforts in DUI enforcement. Alan has held the title for the department since 2010.
